MPPS Art Pastiche 2025

Mosman Park PS has its own identity and message creating a "hodge-podge" pastiche blend or marvellous medley of unique art. This medley of art reflects different styles, our own creations and imitations of artists from cross the years.

From Indigenous foam mosaics to polar bears… To African animal prints and budgerigars (to celebrate friendly, talkative art students) owls, jellyfish, Indigenous flags and   serpents. Don't forget cupcakes and donuts too!  Zen tangle allows us to be meditative in a structured way using repetitive abstract patterns to promote relaxation and creativity, face symmetry and similar parts but not exactly to be found in our silhouettes and creative portraits.

Our sculptures are about tactile experience through colourful, feathered, clay birds, bead threading, mosaics, making snow globes and dangly foam hangings. Unconventional Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, Meow Mondrian to Wayne Thiebaud's Pop Art we continue to learn about the world around us.

At Mosman Park PS we celebrate being creative, being an individual, being free to experiment to develop our own artistic style. We sketch, develop drawing techniques including crosshatching, scrubbing, blending to create depth and texture, shading, experimenting with three dimensional effects, drawing in black and white, creating collages, painting, sculpting and threading beads.

Thank you to all the students, teachers and parents at Mosman Park PS who contributed to our Pastiche 2025 to celebrate our school and the joy sharing art creates in our lives.
