ANZAC Day 2024

Last Friday saw the whole school come together to remember the service and sacrifice of those who have served, in particular during the Gallipoli campaign. We welcomed a number of VIPs to the school as well as community members and Parents. Thank you to Member for Curtin, Kate Chaney, who donated the wreath that was laid during the ceremony. The event was completely run by Students, ably guided by the Heads of School Valentina and Tom who did a superb job. Special mentioned to our guest speakers Chaplain Lt Martin Heffer and Captain W, their words were particularly pertinent and we thank them for the time they took to attend our assembly. Also of special note was the choir performance, with a solo by Millie, with a heartfelt rendition of 'Shelter'. Most VIPs mentioned how moving the assembly was, and how wonderfully behaved and respectful the students were. After the assembly Mrs Margaret Baldwin OAM, with Valentina and Tom, took our wreath to the Mosman Park Council Memorial grounds and laid it at the WW1 memorial plaque. We are thankful for the opportunity for us all to gather and mark this moment in our collective history, Lest We Forget.
