House Athletics 2023
On Tuesday 29th August the school community had beautiful, sunny skies greet them for the annual House Athletics Carnival. Acting Principal Emma Lipscombe, acting Associate Principal Melanie Cole and acting Sports Specialist Shannon Burke did an amazing job organising the carnival, with all the children participating keenly, cheering on their respective houses and friends alike.
Results from Middle distance running as well as Jumps and Throws were added to the tally which saw Balbuk house being victorious on the day (full results below) it what was a tight competition all day.
Special mention and thanks must go to the P & C for organising the coffee van as well as running the sausage sizzle and cake stall. With a magnificent selection available it's not surprising that over $2,000 was raised.
The carnival could not run without all the parent volunteers, and what makes MPPS so special is that we always have keen, involved parents either putting up tents and bunting, or helping to select the winners from the race.
Congratulations to the students who were recognised for their efforts across all events, a full list of champion boys and girls is below.
A final note that MPPS staff successfully defended their title in the annual student/parent/staff relay!
