Book Week 2020

The 2020 Children's Book Council of Australia Book Week theme Curious Creatures, Wild Minds, generated much excitement at our school and there was no shortage of activities during the week.

Author Cristy Burne entertained the Year 5 and 6 students and illustrator Leanne White presented to the Pre-primary students in our school library. The other year groups journeyed to the Grove Library to be entertained by various writers and illustrators, and everyone's favourite librarian, Stewart Farley, came to school to read to the kindy kids and entertain the Year 4 students!

The festivities continued with a whole school book costume dress up day, where students donated a gold coin towards the Story Dogs program that Mosman Park Primary School participates in.

There was also a fantastic incursion for Pre-primary to Year 6 students, The Greatest Discovery, which was a Book Week play that incorporated the CBCA Book Week shortlisted titles.

And finally, the school had a Creative Writing Competition, with winners soon to be announced!
